For an effective (and fun) teaching - learning process,
participation in the classroom is essential.
Participation encourages initiative. It implies
an active attitude and involvement in class performance.
Participation makes students show interest in
learning by formulating doubts, questions and conducting classroom activities.
Participation includes nonverbal language
(educator and students).
Participation means presence in class dynamics,
both directed and spontaneous.
Participation modifies the course of the class
in a positive way.
Participation enables students to engage in
learning process and to enjoy it.
Participation increases the commitment and
improves comprehension (active learning).
Participation depends on the interest of
students in the subject and their relationship with the teacher.
Participation allows to internalize knowledge
more effectively, to solve doubts and to understand better what is being
learned.
Participation makes more enjoyable and
interesting lessons, avoids distractions and students learn better, more and
faster, facilitating communication skills.
Participation is encouraged by transmitting
security to students downplaying importance to errors and emphasising the
process more than the result.
Do you, dear colleague, encourage participation
in your lessons?
